The European Society for Agronomy (ESA) was founded in 1990 to promote agronomy and its application to agriculture and rural development throughout Europe.

In 2024, the 18th Congress of the ESA will be held in Rennes, in Brittany, an important basin of French agriculture characterised by livestock farming, environmental issues and various patterns of transition towards agroecology. With 300 participants expected from across Europe, this 18th edition will focus on promoting resilient agriculture. This edition will address areas where synergies are becoming increasingly important to achieve resilience in agriculture: synergies of technologies, between disciplines, between short- and long-term goals, and between researchers, farmers and society. You can be part of this discussion through sponsorship of this prestigious research congress.
