Scientific Student Conference

What is the ELLS Scientific Student Conference?

The 18th ELLS Scientific Student Conference will take place on the 6th and 7th of November 2026.

Every year, the Euroleague for Life Sciences invites students from ELLS member and ELLS partner universities to participate in the Scientific Student Conference (SSC).

This year's main theme is Sustainable Life Sciences: What ELLS for the Future?

The two-day frame of the SSC is an excellent opportunity for students to feel the flair of a scientific conference and get to know many different people - students and teachers - from various fields and universities. Students can either present their scientific work within a poster session or an oral session.

What is the target audience?

BSc, MSc, and first-year PhD students (at the time of abstract submission) from universities affiliated with the ELLS alliance.

How to Participate in ELLS SSC 2026

1. Submit and Present Your Abstract Presenter
Prepare and submit an abstract online following the submission guidelines.
If accepted, you will have the opportunity to present your research as an oral or poster presentation during the conference.
2. Attend as an Audience Member Audience
You can register as a participant to attend the conference sessions, learn from the presentations, and engage with other students and researchers. This is a great way to gain insight into current research and network with peers.
3. Volunteer at the Conference Volunteer
Help the organizing committee by supporting the event as a volunteer.
Tasks may include assisting during sessions, managing registration, or helping with technical setup.
